Mac Haul

So on Saturday I went to Edinburgh to see Cats. Seeing as I was there I stopped in at the MAC counter to get some new eye shadows as my pallets were looking a little bare!!!

This is what I got

I needed some natural eye shadows to fill up a few spaces in my natural eye MAC pallet. This pallet is aimed at my brides as it has nice natural colours such as golds, bronzes, nice lights shimmers and browns. It also always contains a silver, grey and black to create a classic smokey eye, which I am finding more and more brides maids now want.

Amber Lights

Electra

Black Tied

I LOVE MAC eye shadows as you can pop them all in a handy 15 space palette and then just change them when you are finished. As a make-up artist this is so much easier than carrying around 15 small eye shadows! I also love them as the colours are so strongly pigmented and very true to colour when you apply the. They are also very long lasting and stay on all day!!!

I also got strobe cream as I've got about a third of a bottle left and I know I will need one soon enough. I love this product so much as it just brightens up your skin and is a  must for any bride!!!

Well there you go, what do you think of these clolours? have you ever tried any MAC eye shadows yourself? If so what do you think? If not why don't you give them a try!!!

Illamasqua Beauty School Drop In

So at the weekend I went along to the Glasgow Illamasqua Beauty School Drop In!!! It was AMAZING!!!

As a fully qualified make-up artist I was open to picking up a few new tips and tricks but I didn't expect to learn as much as I did, it was honestly sensational!!

Firstly the make-up artists covered how to get the perfect base, using primers, foundation, concealers, colour correcting and highlighting and shading.

Next they did either statement eyes or statement lips using fantastic colour!!!! Here are the two models with perfect base, then their statement eyes or lips, and what can I say, they both look gorgeous!!!
